maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure design at the Pentagon. We
build and maintain a network that has four classification levels of fiber,

Project My assignment
was to gain an understanding of the MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) single
mode fiber installation in Crystal City, Roslyn and the Pentagon; to assist
the cable installation teams and engineers in the ongoing design and
implementation of the MAN network. I was the POC when additional
customers need connected to the MAN in Crystal City, Va. through 2011. Pentagon
OSP Oversight In 2009 and
2010 I was part of the OSP team that had oversight of the vast NCR (National
Capitol Region) fiber optic network: assigning connectivity, approving new
designs, maintaining administrative documentation of the passive network. 2002 - 2006 Henkels and McCoy Project Manager – The
Pentagon, One of four Project Managers for
Henkels & McCoy on the Pentagon Project Team responsible for managing a
workforce of over 100 technicians. The multi-year project is the
largest voice & data cabling project currently working in the United
States. Some of the individual projects completed under this contract
include installations of 200 to 350 workstations consisting of multiple
copper and fiber cables utilizing a work force of 10-20 technicians. The
build out of server farms, data centers and athletic facilities. Pentagon
Site Safety Representative – Performed the duties of the Site Safety
Representative for the Pentagon work force for over 1½ years responsible for
enforcing the rigid requirements of the H&M safety plan for over 100
on-site personnel. Project Manager- Department of
State I managed various cable plant
installations in the DOS campus of 40+ buildings mainly in the DC metro area.
The size of the projects varied from 25 drop locations to 200. I also over
saw the O&M team of 5 technicians that did moves, adds and changes in the
same 40+ buildings. Project Manager- Lorton office
in the Washington Capitol Region. My projects have ranged from the
installation of 34 TVs for ESPN Zone Sports Complex, 102 VD drops for Chubb
and Sons, PDS system for the Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland,
to the renovation of two floors in the Taylor Building in Crystal City. 2001 - 2002 Edd Helms Data Telecom Project Manager Oversight of multiple four man
crews installing cable, antennas, connectors, ice bridge, wave guide,
grounding as well as testing of wireless installations on towers, roof tops
and monopoles. Job description included site audits, material ordering,
material delivery, design, installation verification and customer
satisfaction through to the billing cycle. 1999 - 2001 Convergent Communications Project Manager/Program
